Dear Editor:

I would like to thank all of the veterans and their wives for attending the Vietnam Veterans Recognition Dinner at the American Legion hall on Friday, Sept. 18.

Thank you, also, to our guest speaker Major Adria Horn; chef Amy Ronan; the four young Coast Guard members who volunteered; Dave Patch and Fran Nicoletta who attended several meetings  and called veterans to help set up and clean up; and Miles Barter and Barry Sherman for their help in the kitchen and with clean up.

The attendance was 85, including 35 Vietnam veterans.

It was a very good event, one that should be repeated once a year.
