Souper Bowl of Caring Sunday vs. Super Bowl XLIX

Tue, 01/27/2015 - 7:30am

An early kick-off begins throughout the community of churches in the Boothbay Region with members and friends bringing non-perishable food and money gifts to their worship services on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 1, all to benefit the Boothbay Region Food Pantry.

All gifts are to be delivered by church volunteers to the Boothbay Region Food Pantry between noon and 1 p.m. on Game Day, where pantry volunteers will be cheerfully awaiting your donations.

A new challenge this year to local businesses, nonprofits, health care facilities, hair salons, banks, eating establishments, etc.; start your own collection in-house today. Have a volunteer bring your gifts to the Food Pantry on Souper Bowl of Caring Sunday between noon and 1 p.m.

For the past seven years, this giving event, led by our community of churches, is the third largest intake of money and non-perishable food received each year. The pantry depends on your gifts in order to continue to feed so many of our neighbors who are having a difficult time through the winter months.

The Souper Bowl of Caring Kick Off Team includes:
