Sophia Gudroe is crowned 2015 Shrimp Princess

    Sophia Gudroe was crowned the 2015 Shrimp Princess during a the April 23 pageant held in the Boothbay Harbor Opera House. Gudroe, 12, of Boothbay was one of five pageant contests.

    Gudroe performed a ballet dance during the talent portion of the pageant.

    The first runner-up was Emilie Crocker, 11, of Edgecomb. She performed a dance with hula hoops during the talent competition.

    The second runner-up was Della Hahn, 10, of Boothbay. She performed a song and dance during the talent competition.

    The contestants were judged on personality, talent and appearance.

    2014 Shrimp Princess Ciara Pitcher crowned her successor. She also sang during the pageant.

    The master of ceremonies was Mark Guerin.
