Skidompha Public Library announces public availability to thousands of movies, television shows, music albums, eBooks, audiobooks and comics, all available for mobile and online access through a new partnership with hoopla digital (hoopladigital.com).

Skidompha Library cardholders can download the free hoopla digital mobile app on their Android or IOS device or visit hoopladigital.com to begin enjoying thousands of titles--from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers--available to borrow 24/7, for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets and computers.

“Partnering with hoopla digital is a natural response to our community’s increased demand for digital content,” said Pam Gormley, Executive Director at Skidompha Public Library. “Anyone with a Skidompha library card can enjoy popular movies, music albums, and more without worrying about late fees or going through a waiting period.”

Skidompha Public Library is the second library system in the state of Maine to partner with hoopla digital, after Portland Public Library.

The Damariscotta-based library is already recognized as a leading Midcoast provider of digital content through its relationship with the Maine State Library, as well as its own digital production of podcasts, Chats with Champions videos, and online streaming music.
