Sheriff Todd Brackett honored four of his employees during the April 4 County Commissioners’ meeting.

Each of the four was identified as having performed meritorious service during the preceding year. Deputy Ken Hatch had been named Deputy Sheriff of the Year. Deputy James Read was honored for his work with diversion programs, the Addiction Resource Center, and Two Bridges Regional Jail. Detective Jared Mitkus was commended for his work against domestic violence. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was nominated by his peers for meritorious service.

In addition, Brackett announced two new employees. Rebecca Cavanaugh will fill the open full-time slot, and Dwight Fowles will take the part-time slot.
