Senior Appreciation Day October 19

Fri, 10/11/2013 - 11:00am

Boothbay Region Senior Citizens Club (BRSCC) meetings are held the first and third Wednesdays of each month at the Boothbay Fire Department.

The Club met on Wednesday, Oct. 10 with 32 in attendance, including three new members.

The meeting started with the saluting the flag. The treasurer’s report was presented by Debbie Mullen and unanimously approved. The group recognized the members having birthdays in October.

The program for the luncheon included great entertainment by country singers Tim Sprague and Bob Blackman. To the delight of the members, several encores were requested and provided.

The meal consisted of lasagna with Italian sausage and mixed greens prepared by “Mr. C,” Chris Gistis. The dessert was German chocolate and also white cake prepared by member Duane Lewis. Everyone raved about the entertainment and the food!

The luncheon meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 23 will be baked fish. Entertainment will be provided by Kay Brown on the piano.

Don’t forget the Senior Appreciation Day being held at the Boothbay Region Elementary School on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. until about 1:30 p.m. with a complimentary luncheon served and great door prizes.
