Selectmen make annual appointments

The Boothbay Board of Selectmen made the following annual appointments June 22 for Fiscal Year 17: Daniel G. Bryer Jr., town manager, tax collector, treasurer, road commissioner, welfare director, and Right To Know officer; John E. O’Donnell III, assessor; William D. Kautzmann and Lori D. Colton, addressing officers; Mary E. Pratt, animal control officer; Lori D. Colton, Arthur C. Dunlap, and Daniel G. Bryer, Jr, code enforcement officers and licensed plumbing inspectors; Richard R. Spofford, fire chief; Peter G. Ripley, harbor master; Michael S. Alley, highway foreman; Tracey Hodgdon Hyson, town clerk; Lee Court, Charles E. Fuller, Barry J. Gibson, Larry W. Knapp and Nathaniel F. Leonard, port committee; and Dr. Paul Taylor, ambulance representative.

All of these appointments are for one year.

The selectmen made the following appointments for a three-year term: Stephen L. Malcom and Richard W. Perkins, board of appeals; Rosemary Bourette, planning board; Kirk E. Brewer, Boothbay Region Refuse Disposal District; and Stanley W. Barter Jr., shellfish committee.

Craig E. Barter was appointed to a two-year term to the shellfish committee.
