Seahawks’ cross country state championships results

The Boothbay Region High School cross country teams ended their season at the State Championships, at Twin Brook Recreation Park in Cumberland, on Saturday, Oct. 28. Seven male Seahawks and two female Seahawks competed.

Faith and Glory Blethen were the only two girls from BRHS. Freshman Glory Blethen took 36th place in 22:50 and junior Faith Blethen took 55th place in 23:37.

The Seahawk boys narrowly made a team to compete at the State Championship. Junior Blake Erhard took 16th place in 18:24; senior Kyle Ames, 21st in 18:32; junior Bayly Gaughan-Carrasco took 56th in 19:47; freshman Mason Erhard, 57th in 19:48; freshman Fox Elder, 61st in 19:56; freshman Ryan Russell, 73rd in 20:27; and junior Will LeBrecque, 97th in 21:57.

The Seahawk boys had a total of 150 points and placed fifth out of 14 teams.
