Savory Maine's musical lineup for July

Savory Maine in Damariscotta announces its July music series featuring local musicians. Every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., musicians from around the Midcoast will entertain and delight diners at Savory Maine.

Favorites Heather Hardy and Nancy Sferra begin the month on July 1; Sylvia Tavares and Tom Arter are up next July 3; Nadia Smith, a student at Lincoln Academy, will perform on the 8th. Smith gave a wonderful performance at Savory Maine last year during a FARMS fundraiser.

On July 10, Jan Marie Bacon, sings songs of the 1960s and 1970s, including folk, pop, Broadway, with a bit of comedy is thrown into the mix.

Stan Davis plays and sings a mix of traditional and original songs- from the blues to lyrical hymns about modern country life on July 15. Bob White, a songwriter in the style of the late Jim Croce, of the 70s, follows on July 17.

On July 22, Jamie Peghiny will sing and play guitar, base and uke and whistles, followed by the lively foot stomping group, The Rusty Hinges, on July 24.

Wrapping up the month are Gary McCue and Lora Stanchfield on July 29, and Jeff Herbster, a banjo and fiddle player of the Bluegrass and a style from the 19th century called Minstrel, on July 31.

Savory Maine is located at 11 Water Street in Damariscotta and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., serving lunch and dinner and, on Sunday, brunch and dinner.

The restaurant sources most of its food from Maine and essentially all of it is organically grown or wild harvested. Savory Maine is proud to support local farmers, fishers, foragers, food producers, artists, and musicians!
