A rich man's golf club

Tue, 05/31/2016 - 12:00pm

Dear Editor:

I am somewhat concerned that Mr. Coulombe felt the need to make a rather vicious attack on Mr. and Mrs. Kaplan in his recent commentary. Typical bully behavior seems to always attack the questioner, rather than answer the questions. It seems we have seen a lot of that lately.

I, personally, believe that there is much more to the Boothbay peninsula than a brewery, a botanical garden, and a golf club. And nowhere in all of this, have I seen any logical excuse for needing a roundabout in Boothbay.

Instead, what I see is a rich man demanding special access to his golf club.

I will vote against this, because it is silly, and because Mr. Coulombe seems to me to be, at best, uncivil.
