Rep Mick Devin arrested for OUI

    According to an email from Acting Damariscotta Police Chief Jason Warlick, State Rep. Michael Devin (D-Newcastle) was arrested for Operating Under the Influence after a traffic stop.

    At 10 p.m. on June 20, Devin, 54, was stopped for erratic operations. After an investigation by Officer James Dotson, Devin was arrested for Operating Under the Influence.

    Devin was not taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail, according to booking officials. He was released from the Damariscotta Police Department on $1,000 unsecured bond, according to court records. His conditions of release include no use or possession of alcoholic beverages.

    Devin’s initial court appearance is Aug. 17 at 8:30 a.m. at Lincoln County Courthouse in Wiscasset.
