Remembrance gatherings honor lost loved ones

Each year, Lincoln County Healthcare’s Miles & St. Andrews Home Health & Hospice program provides end-of-life services to over 200 local hospice patients and their families.

Hospice care, which is most often provided in the patient’s home, covers a full scope of services such as pain and symptom management, spiritual care and emotional support, enabling our friends and neighbors to live their last days to the fullest, with purpose, dignity and grace.

Miles & St. Andrews Home Health & Hospice staff and volunteers invite all who have experienced a recent loss to join them at one of their upcoming Remembrance Gatherings.

These special interfaith services are open to any member of the community who has experienced a recent loss and would like to honor and remember a loved one.
The ceremonies will be led by the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Dale, pastor of the Second Congregational Church in Newcastle who also serves as the hospice chaplain for Miles & St. Andrews Home Health & Hospice.

The first Remembrance Gathering will be held at the Pemaquid Lighthouse in Bristol on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 8 a.m.  The second gathering will be held in the garden at St. Andrew’s Village in Boothbay Harbor on Sept. 29 at 8 a.m.
