Rebuilding Together Day deadline fast approaching

    Dear Editor:

    With yet another storm looming, it is hard to believe that spring is just around the corner, but preparations are underway for Rebuilding Together Day, to be held this year on Saturday, May 9. That is the day when scores of skilled and caring volunteers will gather to help community members in need of some assistance keep their homes warm, safe and in good repair.

    Applications are being accepted from homeowners requesting assistance, with the deadline for receipt being March 1, 2015.

    Applications are available online at www.rebuildingtogether-lc.org or may be picked up at Griffin Law Offices, 59 Atlantic Avenue, Boothbay Harbor; Hawke Motors, 203 Townsend Avenue, Boothbay Harbor; Pottle Realty Group, 63 Townsend Avenue, Boothbay Harbor; local town offices;

    Boothbay Region Community Resources, St. Andrews Village, second floor, Boothbay Harbor; and Newcastle Square Realty, 87 Main Street, Damariscotta. Please return by mail to Rebuilding Together, P. O. Box 22, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538.

    We hope to hear from you, and plan to make this yet another successful day for Rebuilding Together. By working together with you, our communities, Rebuilding Together has been able to help over 200 homeowners remain in their homes, positively impacting the lives of so many.
