    Dear Editor:

Once again Fred Nehring (Letters, June 25) uses graphic imagery and emotional prose to tug at the heartstrings of your readers. He does this to pursue his decidedly anti-gun agenda because the facts won’t bear out his argument. Mr. Nehring has never let facts stand in his way while he continues to vilify the some 120 million lawful gun owners in this country. I won’t even try to address the rhetoric that his latest letter contains. It clearly came straight from the websites of anti-Second Amendment groups such as Moms Demand Action and is not meant to contribute to any useful dialog.

There is one only question that need be asked of Mr. Nehring, “What exactly do you propose?” He professes to want common sense legislation and speaks of the “well regulated” part of the Second Amendment but what exactly does that mean to him? This is what supporters of firearm rights like me want to know. Mr. Nehring keeps asking for a conversation but instead spends his time calling us names.

So Fred, what is it that you want to do to solve this problem? Before you answer you may want to know that the current administration admits that none of the measures they have tried shoving down our throats would have stopped the tragedy in South Carolina.
