Our right to vote

Mon, 10/31/2016 - 8:30am

    Dear Editor:

As Election Day approaches I have heard many folks so angered by the intensity of the arguments by some politicians or supporters of referendum questions that they are fed up with the whole process.

Our right to vote was paid for with the blood of patriots, but some people have decided to not bother voting on Tuesday. Last May only about three dozen people showed up for town meeting to approve a seven and three-quarter million dollar budget.

"An apathetic people are a pathetic people" (Anon).

"We have met the enemy and he is us". (Pogo)

My only message is this: Vote for whomever or whatever you please, but please vote.
