The Boothbay Harbor One Design Association will hold its first-ever sail/race to Linekin Bay and back on Saturday, July 19 for anyone owning a Boothbay Harbor One Design, past, present or future. This will be followed by cocktails and a buffet for all One Design sailors and families at the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club beginning at 5:30 p.m. You do not have to belong to the BHYC to sail, race or dine for this event. All ages welcome. For reservations, call 633-5750.

Anyone who would like to have a leisurely sail, meet at 12:30 p.m. at the Tumbler Buoy so we know who is participating. For anyone who wants to race, meet at the Tumbler Buoy starting line at 1 p.m. You do not have to race but can just enjoy the sail with friends and/or family. If the recreational sailors and racers meet on the water at any time, the recreational sailors should give way to the those racing. A power boat will go along in case of any problems.

This should be a great event. We already have 10 boats who have indicated their interest.
