Savory Maine’s October music series will feature musicians from around the Midcoast. Every Thursday and Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. they entertain and delight diners at Savory Maine in Damariscotta.

Dave Martin tunes up first on Oct. 2, performing an eclectic mix of ragtime, contemporary and classical pieces on solo acoustic guitar. Bluegrass Banjo and fiddle player Jeff Herbster plays Oct. 4. He also plays clawhammer/oldtime, and a style from the mid 19th century called Minstrel, using a reproduction banjo from that period.

On Oct. 9, it's Kathi Nordone and friends playing Americana, folk, country, inspirational and gospel. On Oct. 11, Nancy Sferra returns.

Jan Marie Bacon, who sings predominantly songs of the ’60s/’70s, including folk, pop, Broadway, and a bit of comedy, plays Oct. 16, followed by Giff Jamison on Oct. 18.

It's Rusty Hinges on Oct. 23 followed by Stan Davis on Oct. 25. Davis plays and sings a mix of traditional and original songs — from the blues to lyrical hymns about modern country life.

Sylia Tavares, who plays classic folk and original compositions, will close out the month on Oct. 30.
