Connie Saindon’s daughter Cathy Salamon and her husband Andrew are here visiting Connie. They are grateful for the rain and the fog as their part of the country is experiencing a severe drought.

Carl and Dee Notarangeli just returned from a trip to Santa Barbara to visit her niece. Despite the drought, they enjoyed the beautiful weather and sights; their daughter Brenda and son-in-law Glen vacationed at their cottage in their absence.

Susan (Ross) and her husband Luke Anderson are here visiting Gail for the week. Alex and Dick Hall have returned to enjoy the rest of the summer weather and golf.

Sharon Gleason is vacationing for a couple of weeks before heading back to work.

The McGonegal Family celebrated a fun filled weekend with family and friends. Joining in the festivities were Tish’s brother and sister-in-law, George and Kathy Doehner, Tom Jr., Alexa and their children Brendan and John, Kevin, Dani, and their daughter Ellie, and Joe and Emily.

This is the last week of regular activities and the Casino will close on Saturday, Aug. 29. It was a great season of activities, thanks to all who volunteered and participated. Thanks in large part to the Activities Committee, the calendar is tentatively scheduled for next season and it looks to be filled with interesting and fun events. We would certainly appreciate your help with any activity that you would be interested in chairing or volunteering your assistance. Please stay in touch through the website and blog for any changes to the calendar as we go forward.

Unfortunately this past week’s Sunday softball game was rained out, we hope there will be one this coming Sunday as well as the Labor Day weekend.

Rev. Thomas Kerr (Ret.) United Methodist Minister North Georgia Conference will conduct the last Sunday Service at the Wilson Memorial Chapel on Sunday, Aug. 30 at 9:30 a.m.

Our neighborhood had quite the surprise on Sunday evening. The Nordensons were sitting on their porch when they noticed an eagle fly over and land at the top of one of our trees. He perched there for quite sometime posing for pictures to the delight of neighbors and passersby.

    Have a great week!
