Oak Point Farm management plan available for public review

Mon, 04/30/2018 - 7:15am

Boothbay Region Land Trust is pleased to announce that after careful planning and much effort on the part of our Stewardship Committee, we have developed a long-term management plan for Oak Point Farm. We have given particular thought to the uses of this property in the context of its location, the needs and interests of the public, neighboring properties, and our mission. Our primary goal has been to create a management plan that allows for recreational enjoyment while protecting the natural habitat and historical character of the farm.

At this time, we invite the public to review and provide comment on this management plan, which is now posted on our website at bbrlt.org. We will receive public comments over a two-week period, through May 11. Email comments to brlt@bbrlt.org or call us at 633-4818.

For further information about this preserve, please visit our website. As we work to implement this management plan, we will have many opportunities for volunteers to contribute. If you are interested in learning about volunteer opportunities, please contact us at brlt@bbrlt.org
