North of Nashville, Jay Basiner and Andrew Martelle, will play their authentic heartland music at the Chocolate Church Arts Center on Friday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m.

North of Nashville’s blend of fiddle, mandolin, guitar and harmonica brings music lovers a new sound that critics have called “a cross between Waylon Jennings and Mumford & Son.”

The two discovered their unique sound resonated with country music lovers when they began doing outside gigs several years ago while performing with the well-known Portland band, This Way.

They struck off on their own two years ago, delighting not only Maine audiences, but New York and Boston audiences as well.

Find out why North of Nashville earned a New England Music Award nomination (January 2014) for “Live Act of the Year.” Tickets, $12 in advance and $15 at the door, are available online at www.chocolatechurcharts.com or by calling 207-442-8455.

The Chocolate Church is at 804 Washington Street in Bath.
