No injuries were reported in an accident occurring around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15 at the stoplight near Hannaford in Boothbay Harbor.

Carol Jessen of Missouri, currently living in East Boothbay, was heading straight towards Ocean Point Road leaving the store, while Asa Lucier of Boothbay was traveling southbound on Route 27. The two vehicles collided, causing the front bumper of Jessen's car to be torn off and damaging the front end. The force of the impact turned Jessen’s car nearly 90 degrees to the right.

Responding officer Nick Upham said the accident was a “he said, she said” situation and there were no direct witnesses that remained on scene.

“I've never had an accident in 66 years,” Jessen said.

Any witnesses can call the Boothbay Harbor Police Department at 207-633-2451.
