Next Chamber Chat features publisher John Hanson
The Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announced the second Chamber Chat for the marine industry has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 26 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the YMCA in the Community Room on the second floor.
The first Chamber Chat generated many great ideas and suggestions from participants. Through a follow-up email, participants identified the three most important areas the Chamber and the marine industry could focus their efforts on. These included a “Welcome” boater bag, a marine flea market and a marine services guide. The Chamber has already addressed the need for workshops on marketing and social media and hosted three this spring. The Chamber will continue to offer these workshops and one-on-one help to members as time and staffing permit.
There was also a separate concern for the “working waterfront” and its preservation. The Chamber has future plans to address this concern separately.
The Chamber is delighted to have John Hanson, publisher, of Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors, on hand to share information on how the marine industry can participate in the mobile app U.S. Harbors, of which Boothbay Harbor is rated 34th out of the top 50 Harbors in the U.S. Those wanting to learn more about how mobile apps work, this is your opportunity!
Please confirm your attendance by Tuesday morning, April 25 either by calling the Chamber at 633-2353 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
