News and Notes from The Community Center

Tue, 02/27/2018 - 9:00am

Birding 101 begins this week and will meet every Wednesday in March from 3 until 4 p.m. The class is open to anyone interested in birds. There will be class discussions about identifying birds through appearance and calls — sharing facts and general descriptions. There will be field trips as weather allows. The class is conducted by a life-long birding expert — his guide is actually signed by Roger Tory Peterson.

Mexican Train is in such demand that we have acquired a second set. Be sure to join us on Friday evenings for Game Night or on Thursdays, mid-day. If you want to learn to play, we have a beginners class on Wednesdays.

In the Gentle Reminder Category: a 911 sign would make a wonderful Mother’s Day present; as would a trip to the theater with our Community Center van trips. Think about it ...

Don’t forget — if you need the van to pick you up and take you to walk at the Y or if you need more information about our programs, call 633-9876.
