On Sept. 1, a film crew from NESN's New England Boating TV was in Boothbay Harbor. Award-winning journalist Parker Kelley and producer-director Gene “Cap” Allen were here along with four others from NESN's New England Boating TV. Now in the show’s third season of production, the crew was here to film an episode about Boothbay Harbor.

Crew members docked at Brown's Wharf and set up camp at Topside Inn. They made several stops during their three-day visit, including Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and the Inn at Cuckolds Lighthouse, as well as several shops and restaurants in town.

Also included in the show is a fishing segment with Capt. Barry Gibson of Shark VI charters, and a sailing and lobstering excursion aboard the Sarah Mead, a Friendship sloop that doubles as a lobster boat. “We'll be going for a sail and pulling lobster traps,” Kelley said.

The half-hour episode will air Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 17 at 12:30 p.m.
