It was wonderful to see the entire Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor school board on display at the budget vote last week. It's a shame that very few people ever get to see the inner workings of that fine group.

Makes me wonder why they don’t videotape their regular meetings like our towns’ selectmen do and have them available online? There would be no greater way to potentially increase the trust between school administrators and the parent/teacher community than to show how it all works.

Wouldn’t that be a great use of existing technology to allow parents and taxpayers alike the opportunity to view the proceedings around their own busy schedules?

That would help to achieve everyone's goal of increasing public participation and input into the decisions made for us by this group that greatly affect our children.
