Tue, 07/21/2015 - 12:15pm

Maine Lobster Chef of the Year Stephen Richards and Boothbay Region Community Television have teamed up to host a premiere party for new cooking show “Catch ’N‘ Cook” on July 23.

All are invited to join the BRCTV cast and crew this Thursday evening at Mine Oyster from 6-8 p.m. to watch what happens when Richards leaves the comforts of his kitchen to work on the front lines of Boothbay Harbor’s local fishing industry. Richards joins local lobsterman Andy Carter and friends to offer a first hand look at catching lobsters while concocting mouth-watering recipes straight from the lobster trap to the cooking pot.

“Catch ’N‘ Cook” is produced by BRCTV filmmaker Ryan Leighton, Jonne Trees, Benjamin Abbe and Cody Mitchell. The first episode will premier on BRCTV in early August.

The premier party will include a food tasting extravaganza, live music from Endless Interstate, a 50/50 raffle and silent auction items, including a nine-course tasting and wine pairing with Richards, free tickets to Harbor Fest, and more. One hundred percent of proceeds benefit BRCTV.

Tickets to the event cost $25 and are available online at www.mineoystermusic.com or at the following locations: Mine Oyster, Wannawaf or Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce. For event information, call 207-671-7676.

Event sponsors include: Mine Oyster, ONE Event Productions, Monica Wendell Designs and Wannawaf.
