Nine Boothbay Region Garden Club members who care for the Armillary Garden responded to an email request to help cut down, gather and carry away the stalks and leaves of the lilies that gladden everyone's hearts at that particular garden in the summer.

The weather was perfect, the chatter was joyful, and the group made light work of the task at hand.

Within 30 minutes the deed was completed.
