A Rockland man has been charged with a misdemeanor after he allegedly asked a woman to wash his truck in the nude then when she refused, allegedly groped her.

Christopher Schisler, 38, of Rockland was arrested and charged with one count of Class D unlawful sexual touching on July 22 after an alleged June 22 incident.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Detective Sgt. Ronald Rollins received a complaint on July 21 from a woman who claimed that she had been sexually assaulted in June.

On July 22 Rollins met with the victim, according to the affidavit, where she stated that on June 22, she and her boyfriend were offered a ride from Rockland to Jefferson by Schisler, who knew them both.

During the ride, Schisler allegedly stopped at Damariscotta Lake Park and asked the victim's boyfriend to “give them some space to talk.”

According to Rollins’ report, the victim and Schisler were next to each other by the truck when Schisler reportedly asked the woman if she would wash his truck in the nude. After the victim didn't respond, Schisler reportedly made a lewd comment. At one point the victim stated she was uncomfortable. Shortly after this Schisler is alleged to have groped the woman.

Afterwards the victim and her boyfriend began to walk home before they were picked up by a relative.

Schisler was eventually arrested and held on $500 bail, but according to Two Bridges Regional Jail officials, he is not bondable because of an existing probation violation.

Schisler was arrested in 2011 at an OccupyMaine encampment after he struck a 45-year-old man in the head with the blunt end of a hatchet. According to court documents he was sentenced to three years of probation and eight and a half years in prison with all but one year suspended.

If convicted, Schisler could face up to 364 days in jail and up to a $2,000 fine.

Schisler will have a disposition conference at the Lincoln County Court House Sept. 14.
