Dear Editor:

I have read your online article and have also watched the Maine D.O.T. online video. My reaction to all of this is Wiscasset has won.

For as long as I can remember, Wiscasset has been holding Midcoast Maine hostage preventing a bypass that is needed to connect Woolwich with Newcastle. Now they are getting a ransom payoff, using my tax dollar, and I don’t like it. According to D.O.T., to do the right thing, the bypass is too expensive. This is a great way to pay for 1/20 of the bypass that will help all of us in Midcoast Maine. Sounds like we are wasting more money on this project study then we will ever get back 20 years from now.
