Lost bracelet returned

    Dear Editor:

Recently I was in Boothbay Harbor to attend a wedding. As there was time between the wedding and the reception, I decided to do some shopping in town, dressed in my wedding clothes and jewelry. Upon returning to our bed and breakfast, I was dismayed to discover the diamond tennis bracelet my husband had given me for our 25th wedding anniversary had fallen off. I was sure it was gone forever.

My husband and sister-in-law decided we should retrace our shopping steps. What a wonderful surprise to find out someone had found it on the steps to the Village Store and turned it in to a sales person there. There it was, behind the counter safely sealed in a plastic bag.

I want to thank Gay at the Village Store for putting it aside in hopes the owner would come back. Thank you to the stranger who found it and had the honesty and integrity to turn it in to the store. I will be forever grateful. You have renewed my faith and trust in the goodness of people. My bracelet is three times blessed. I hope your kindness is returned to you tenfold. I will always think of you, Gay, when I wear it and the stranger who brought it back to me. Many good blessings upon you.
