Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

Summonses

On July 5, Jason L. Fogg, 27, of Bangor was issued summonses for Violating Condition of Release and Criminal Mischief, on Bunker Hill Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

On July 6, a 17-year-old female juvenile from Westport Island was issued a summons for Possession of Marijuana, from an incident in Boothbay, by Deputy Chase Bosse.

On July 6, a 16-year-old female juvenile from Boothbay was issued a summons for Possession of Marijuana, from an incident in Boothbay, by Deputy Chase Bosse.

On July 6, a 17-year-old female juvenile from Boothbay was issued a summons for Possession of Marijuana, from an incident in Boothbay, by Deputy Chase Bosse.

On July 6, a 16-year-old male juvenile from Edgecomb was issued a summons for Possession of Marijuana, from an incident in Boothbay, by Deputy Chase Bosse.

On July 6, a 16-year-old male juvenile from Southport Island was issued a summons for Possession of Marijuana, from an incident in Boothbay, by Deputy Chase Bosse.

Arrests

On July 1, Felicia Giles, 37, of Boothbay was arrested for Assault; Criminal Threatening and Criminal Mischief, on Back Narrows Road, Boothbay, by Reserve Deputy Dwight Fowles, who was assisted by Sgt. Mark Bridgham.

On July 1, Brandon E. Bezio, 26, of Tenants Harbor was arrested for Operating under the Influence, on Route 1, Damariscotta, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

On July 2, Christopher McHood, 22, of Boothbay was arrested for Operating under the Influence; Operating after Suspension and Leaving Scene of Motor Vehicle Accident, on Back River Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Caleb Poirier, who was assisted by Sgt. Aaron Beck.

On July 2, Justine Lovig, 50, of Phippsburg was arrested for Violating Condition of Release and Criminal Trespass, on Route 1, Edgecomb, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck, who was assisted by Sgt. Aaron Beck.

On July 3, Stephen M. Tibbetts, 38, of Jefferson was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Refusing to Sign Summons, on Reed Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

On July 9, Joshua M. Robinson, 31, of Topsham was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault –Priors and Violating Condition of Release, on Pearl Lane, Jefferson, by Deputy Chase Bosse, who was assisted by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

On July 10, Malcolm Simmons, 43, of Bristol was arrested for Operating under the Influence, 1 prior, on Poor Farm Road, Bristol, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.

On July 11, Joshua Colgan, 30, of Jefferson was arrested for Domestic Violence Criminal Mischief, on East Pond Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

Accidents

On July 1, an accident occurred on U.S. Route 1 in Damariscotta involving Edgar A. Garcia-Rivera, 26, of Springfield, Massachusetts and Brandon E. Bezio, 26, of Tenants Harbor.  Mr. Bezio was operating his 2011 Toyota Tacoma northbound in the southbound lane.  Mr. Garcia-Rivera was operating his 2014 Volvo tractor trailer southbound and he swerved to avoid Bezio’s vehicle, however, Bezio struck Garcia-Rivera’s vehicle. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.

On July 1, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Jefferson involving Thomas L. Nichols, 49, of South China.  Mr. Nichols was operating his 2005 Ford Taurus northbound when a deer entered the roadway. Nichols swerved to avoid striking the deer and this resulted in his vehicle leaving the roadway and striking a tree. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.

On July 1, an accident occurred on Back River Road in Boothbay involving Christopher D.  McHood, 22, of Portland. Mr. McHood was operating his 2009 Nissan northbound when he stated his brakes failed, causing his vehicle to go off the roadway to the right. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.

On July 3, an accident occurred at the Pemaquid Beach Park in Bristol involving Wildbeth Wiggin Falcon, 31, of Searsport and Jonathan J. Lynch, 22, of Cape Elizabeth. Ms. Wiggin Falcon was backing her 2006 Toyota Sienna out of a parking spot and she did not see Mr. Lynch as he was passing by her in his 2017 Ford. As a result, Wiggin Falcon struck Lynch’s vehicle on the driver’s side, causing reportable damage. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.

On July 3, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Eleanor J. O’Donnell, 87, of Nobleboro. Ms. O’Donnell was operating her 2004 Honda CRV northbound when a deer entered the roadway from the east side and was struck. Sgt. Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.

On July 4, an accident occurred on Jones Woods Road in Newcastle involving Willis C. Colby III, 50, of Alna. Mr. Colby was operating his 2013 Chevrolet Impala westbound when a deer entered from the right side of the roadway and was struck. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.

On July 5, an accident occurred on Piper Road in Whitefield involving Gerald S. Michaud, 28, of Whitefield. Mr. Michaud was operating his 2015 Suzuki GSX-R7 motorcycle southbound when he noticed his motorcycle starting to catch on fire. Michaud dismounted from the motorcycle before it was engulfed in flames. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

On July 5, an accident occurred on Academy Hill in Newcastle involving Roberta K. Chase, 57, of Whitefield and Melinda S. Stanton, 32, of Fairfield. Ms. Chase was operating her 2011 GMC southbound and Ms. Stanton was operating her 2010 Honda Insight northbound on Route 215 going onto Academy Hill Road, when she failed to see Chase’s vehicle. As a result, both vehicles collided. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.

On July 5, an accident occurred on Academy Hill Road in Newcastle involving Charles L. Richards, 97, of Newcastle. Mr. Richards was operating his 2011 Dodge Ram northbound when he lost control of his vehicle and went off the left side of the roadway. His vehicle then went into the embankment/ditch and came to rest against some trees. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

On July 6, an accident occurred on Bunker Hill Road in Newcastle involving Frederick J. Geyer, 57, of Somerville, Massachusetts. Mr. Geyer was operating his 2017 Hyundai SSE southbound when a deer ran in front of his vehicle and was struck. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.

On July 7, an accident occurred on Landing Way in South Bristol involving Thomas J. Mason, 60, of New Haven, Connecticut and William P. Bryant, 59, of Nobleboro. Mr.  Mason’s 2007 Honda Odyssey was parked at the landing when Mr. Bryant backed his 2004 Sterling gas truck into it. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.

On July 8, an accident occurred on Beath Road in Boothbay involving Taylor A. Fish, 18, of Parkland, Florida. Ms. Fish was operating her 217 Ford Fusion southbound when her vehicle got into the soft shoulder and over-corrected, causing her to slide off into the ditch in the northbound lane. Deputy Ryan Chubbuck was the investigating officer.

On July 8, an accident occurred on North Newcastle Road in Newcastle involving Duane M. Rolerson, 57, of Jefferson. Mr. Rolerson was operating his 2003 Subaru Forester northbound when a deer ran out into the roadway and was struck. The deer then ran off into the woods.  Deputy Chase Bosse was the investigating officer.

On July 9, an accident occurred on River Road in Boothbay involving Suzanne Poirier, 75, of Milford, New Hampshire. Ms. Poirier was operating her 2011 Honda CRV westbound, going around a right hand curve, when an unknown yellow pickup truck traveling eastbound, drifted over the center line and in to the westbound lane, causing the driver’s side mirror of the pickup to strike the driver’s side mirror of Poirier’s vehicle. The unknown pickup did not stop and was not located. There was damage to both the mirror and door of Poirier’s vehicle. Deputy John Braley was the investigating officer.

On July 10, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Nicholas T. Labonte, 18, of Boothbay Harbor. Mr. Labonte was operating his 2001 Dodge 1500 northbound when a vehicle in front of him slowed downed to turn left onto Adams Pond Road. Mr. Labonte had to steer right to avoid a rear end collision with that vehicle, and as a result his vehicle went off the road and struck a utility pole. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
