Lincoln County Democrats’ strategy meeting June 22

Sat, 06/13/2015 - 11:00am

All Lincoln County Democrats are invited to the June 22 meeting to take part in an open forum discussion about plans and strategies for the 2016 election cycle. It will also be an opportunity to discuss other issues or concerns on peoples’ minds.

Jim Torbert, chairman of Lincoln County Democratic Committee (LCDC), will start things off with a review of recent work done by the LCDC executive committee and the results of a survey of the unprecedented number of volunteers who took part in the last campaign.

“Input from all those attending will be welcome throughout the meeting,” Torbert said. “We are especially interested in hearing peoples’ views about which strategies they think work and which and ones don’t. It will be a great opportunity to discuss new and innovative ideas about ways to reach voters, increase fundraising, and improve outcomes in 2016.”

The meeting will be held in the Newcastle Community Room at the firehouse, 86 River Road on Monday, June 22. A social gathering will start at 6:30 p.m., and the meeting will start promptly at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be available.
