Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty is pleased to announce that Dennis Gleason has joined our Damariscotta real estate brokerage office as a vice president. With offices in Portland, Brunswick, Kennebunk, Camden and Damariscotta, Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty is one of the largest real estate companies in Maine and the #1 ranked luxury property company in the state.

Gleason was educated at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Clark University, where he received a BA in English. Prior to beginning his real estate career, he and his wife, Marty, established a successful editorial business, working on medical and scientific books for publishers such as McGraw-Hill and Houghton Mifflin. In 1985, they opened Gleason Fine Art, building it into one of the most respected art galleries in Maine. It was through the gallery that they met people interested in acquiring property in Maine. In 2002, he obtained his real estate license to assist in that pursuit.

When asked why he chose to join Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, Dennis stated "it was because of the excellent reputation as a Sotheby’s International Realty affiliate, and their strong and increasing involvement with marketing the Maine lifestyle in the Midcoast."

"We are pleased that Dennis has joined our team in Damariscotta. His knowledge of coastal Maine and expertise in the Boothbay Harbor region is a very good fit for us" says Chris Lynch, President of Legacy Properties Sotheby's international Realty. "As a 40-year resident of Boothbay Harbor, he brings invaluable local market knowledge and experience to his clients."

Dennis has served on many committees in the Boothbay Region, but is most proud of his involvement in saving the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. He enjoys working with people and practicing the fine art of buying and selling Coastal Maine Real Estate. Dennis can be reached in the office at 207-563-2775, by cellular phone at 207-446-6394 and by e-mail at dgleason@legacysir.com.
