On Feb. 28, Michael Chaney, executive director of the Frances Perkins Center, will discuss the work of E. Joseph Leighton, an early 20th century photographer whose work will be featured in a special exhibit at The Old Jail in Wiscasset this summer. Research on Leighton was the subject of Chaney’s master’s thesis.

In the final lecture of the series on March 6, local historian Jay Robbins will bring to life the stories of court cases that were adjudicated at the Pownalborough Court House in the late 1700s.

Admission to the lectures is free of charge. A donation of $5 is suggested. Coffee and pastries will be served.
