Knights of Pythias

Wed, 01/17/2018 - 12:00pm

Greetings from the Knights of Pythias Boothbay Lodge #32.

On Saturday night, Jan. 20, we have a dance with the band “Horses Gone Wild.” This band features Paul Martin, Jason Guimond, Frank Bretton and Garry Blackman, all who have played together in different bands over the years. It will be a fun night of dancing and music, so please come on out and join in. Dance from 7-10 p.m., BYOB, and admission is $10 per person. Our kitchen will be open to purchase food.

Next, a potluck supper/meeting for members and guests will be on Monday, Jan. 22. This starts at 6 p.m. Supper is $10 per person.

Looking out to Feb. 10, we will have a dance featuring Tim Sprague and the Murky Water Band for a pre-Valentine's Day dance.

Every Sunday at noon we have cribbage games open to everyone.

We still have a call out to our members to get your yearly dues paid so not to lose the benefits you have acquired for being a member in good standing. We will soon be doing rank work on a few new members. If you want to join as a member let us know and we would be glad to get you underway. After being a member in good standing for five years, a few perks a member receives are a $4,000 death benefit paid out to your loved one. Also, if you fall on hard times, you can receive $1,000 and can then again reapply after three years. This is what your $25 yearly dues get you.

For more information, contact Tim at 315-5520 or Garry and 633-0831. You can always see what’s going on by viewing our Facebook page.
