Katrina M. Smith graduated cum laude from the University of Maine at Farmington on May 16.

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies: sociology/anthropology.

While at UMF, she served one term as secretary and two terms as president of Alpha Lambda Delta, a college honor society, which awarded her the 2012-2013 “Above and Beyond Award” for her leadership above and beyond for Alpha Lambda Delta at UMF.

Smith was also active in the Multicultural Club, Knitting Club and Fooding Club, volunteered many hours at the Franklin County Animal Shelter, and took several classes abroad to help further her education and broaden her perspective.

Katrina is the daughter of Hazen and Jennifer Smith of Boothbay.
