Jeanne Eileen Foster of Boothbay died Nov. 22, 2014 at the LincolnHealth Miles Campus in Damariscotta, with her family by her side. She was born Aug. 9, 1946 to Cleveland and Eileen (Wallquist) Conant in Boston, Massachusetts.

She spent her childhood in Dorchester, Massachusetts with her older brothers Ron and Rich. Jeanne graduated from Cambridge Academy in Cambridge.

Jeanne was married in 1965, and gave birth to a son in 1966. She spent a large portion of her young adult life living and raising her son in the Wollaston section of Quincy. She worked as a purchasing clerk for Interstate Distributors in North Quincy, Massachusetts for many years. She later moved to Gibsonia, Pennsylvania where she continued her work with customer service for the supermarket, Giant Eagle.

Over the past 15 years, she has been a resident of Boothbay where she had worked at the Hannaford supermarket.

Jeanne enjoyed her work in customer service and it showed, as the large number of friends, family and anyone who ever met her, knows. She was one of the nicest people you could ever meet, and if she met you she touched your life in a very positive manner. She was truly unforgettable. A devout animal lover and cat owner, she had many pets over the years, and they loved her as much as she loved them.

She is survived by her brothers and their wives, Dr. Ronald C. and Elizabeth Conant of Boothbay, and Richard K. and Frances Conant of Stow, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her son Stephen C. Foster of Derry, New Hampshire; granddaughter, Amanda L. (Foster) Lee of Fayetteville, North Carolina; grandsons, Steven N. Foster of Potsdam, New York, Joshua D. Foster of Boonvile, New York and David C. Foster of Boonville, New York; as well as her great-granddaughter, Isabella Foster of Boonville, New York, whom she was crazy about.

The family would like to send special thanks to the doctors and staff at the ICU at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta, as well as to the staff who cared for her at the Boothbay Green in Boothbay for the last few years, months, days and minutes of her amazing life. We can never say enough great things about all of you.
