Dear Editor:

For everyone who supported me in the recent election, I owe you more than a simple “thank you.” There are far too many supporters to hug personally, but I want you all to know that I deeply appreciate your hard work and trust.

If I didn't get your vote this time, my door is always open. I value your opinions and will work tirelessly to earn your confidence the next time around.

The issues before us: jobs, the economy, education, marine resources, taxes and public welfare are significant and require bipartisan support if meaningful progress is to be realized. I promise to listen to and work with everyone who is helping solve them.

The people of Maine have always been there for me. Now it's my honor to be here for you.
