The Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club sponsored high school sailing team is gearing up for the 2014 fall season. Under the direction of Sam Lloyd assisted by Sarah Flowe and Ben Waldrop, sailors from up and down the peninsula and neighboring towns will once again brave the beautiful waters of our harbor to sail weekdays practicing skills and to compete weekends with other high school sailing teams from around the state of Maine.

Practice sessions will start on Sept. 14 and will run for six weeks The youth sail the internationally sanctioned 420, a two person boat. The yacht club and its Junior Program Foundation makes this program available to young people from our communities as an educational and sporting activity.
