Hawk Henries' woodland flute concert

Wed, 10/22/2014 - 10:45am

Hawk Henries belongs to the Nipmuc, a northeastern Algonquin tribe. In his travels within and beyond the United States, he enjoys engaging people who come to hear him play his flutes, many of which he makes.

“Music, stories and humor create a space where people from diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds can enjoy each other’s company and engage in meaningful dialogue,” Henries said.

Henries will present a flute concert on Saturday, Oct. 25, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., at the Damariscotta River Association's Round Top Farm Gallery.

Seasonal snacks available. Henries’ CDs will be for sale. A few flutes will also be available for purchase. Fee: $5/person, members free.
