A hard worker we must re-elect

    Dear Editor:

Senator Chris Johnson understands a lot of big issues that matter to the people in Maine, but he also cares about everyday problems that the people he represents can need help with. I’ve got firsthand experience with this.

A few months ago I was getting nowhere trying to untangle a mess of red tape with credit bureau reports and court records that misidentified me and had me mixed up with somebody else. I’d been trying to straighten things out for months but the problem got worse- I ended up needing to somehow prove who I wasn’t instead of who I was. I decided to meet with Chris during his regular office hours in Damariscotta, to see if he had any advice.

Chris listened to the whole story and went to work to help me clear this up. He put me in touch with a tax advocate at the Maine Revenue Service and we were able to do the paperwork and get my life, and my identity, back to normal.

Chris is the kind of hardworking person we should have in our corner in Augusta. We need to reelect him to the Maine Senate in November.
