As a part of Harbor Fest (Sept. 2-Sept. 11), local professional photographer Michael Leonard is holding two events — a sunrise 6 a.m. photography cruise aboard the Balmy Days on Saturday, Sept. 3 to see the local lighthouses, and a photography talk Monday, Sept. 5 at sunset at Brown's Wharf.

For the sunrise event, Leonard is looking for anyone who owns a camera to join in to make their best shots of the local lights under the low angle of the rising sunlight. Book the trip by calling Balmy Days Cruises at 800-298-2284.

At Brown's, depending on the weather, Leonard will either be doing a sunset shoot, showing people how to set up their cameras to make the best shot of a sunset over the harbor or, if it is raining, he will take the show indoors and will be doing his Intro to Digital Photography slideshow. Either way people will come away with tips to make better photos and will have a chance to get a great dinner and talk photography.
