Harbor Crawl kicks off Harbor Fest

Fri, 09/04/2015 - 1:45pm

Harbor Fest festivities kick off with the free Harbor Crawl on Sept 4., from 4 to 7 p.m.

Join the Harbor Crawl and get your weekend started. Crawlers can choose to board the Rocktide Trolley and be chauffeured around at a whirlwind pace, or take the more leisurely approach and crawl their way around town on foot. DJ Matt James will broadcast live from the 92 Moose Caboose.

Crawlers will follow a map of Harbor Crawl participants (map is available at participating businesses).

Local shops on the crawl will welcome crawlers with light snacks, beverages (and possibly even some Harbor Crawl discounts) and restaurants will offer Harbor Crawl appetizer and drink specials. There will be plenty of great live music along the way as well.

Participating crawl locations include. Boothbay Craft Brewery, Two Salty Dogs Pet Outfitters, Fisherman’s Wharf Inn, Mine Oyster Restaurant, McSeagull’s Restaurant, Boothbay Harbor Inn and Rocktide Inn.

The Lady in the Red Cloak Haunted History Tours will be along for the ride, as will several Harbor Fest sponsors: ‘207’ radio host Aimsel Ponti, BRCTV, Boothbay Register, Lincoln County Magazine, Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce and and Key Bank.

Those who wish to catch the trolley from the beginning should be at the Rocktide Inn by 3:45 p.m. Last year the trolley was full, so arrive early — first come, first served.

The Rocktide bartenders will be delighted to assist with pre-crawl cocktails and snacks while you wait. Note: Parking is limited and for hotel guests only, so please park offsite.
