Merritt and Patricia Grover of Boothbay Harbor are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Alyson Dey Grover, to Daniel Peter Boyd, son of R. Garry and Marlies Boyd of Ocean Point. Alyson is the granddaughter of Robert Grover of Clearwater, Florida and the late Barbara Grover.

Alyson graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2007 with a degree in communication and is employed by First National Bank in Boothbay Harbor. 

Daniel graduated from University of Pittsburg in 2009 with a degree in petroleum Technology and is employed by BP in the oil and gas industry in Trinidad and Tobago.

A July 2017 wedding is planned at Newagen Seaside Inn.

The couple resides in Boothbay Harbor.
