Letter to the Editor

Great support for Harvest Fest

Thu, 11/05/2015 - 2:00pm

    Dear Editor:

It was a beautiful, sunny Saturday on October 31 on the front lawn of the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library for our 2015 Harvest Fest. All 400 to 500 of us — adults, children, and pets — had a blast in our zany costumes. We enjoyed a concert by E.P. Rock, our rockin’ Elvis Presley impersonator, pizza by Crust Mobile Wood Fired Pizza, and topped our festive lawn party with our annual Children’s Harbor Costume Parade.

Thank you all for making Harvest Fest 2016 a success! We extend a big thank you to our local businesses who provided the treats for our children, to Hannaford who donated candy, to Boothbay Region Greenhouses for its beautiful outdoor décor, to the Boothbay Register and Channel 7 for the coverage of the event, to the many generous volunteers who donate their time in making our library great, and to our much respected and appreciated heroes, the Boothbay Harbor Police, for keeping our children safe while they walked, and all of us safe every day in our town.

Below are the participating businesses that we know of that generously treated our children in the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library’s Children’s Harbor Costume Parade Thank you!
