Dear Editor:

Thank you for this opportunity to express my gratitude to members of the Midcoast community for their cards, letters and emails of congratulation. It has been gratifying to hear from so many friends, neighbors, former students and colleagues, and parents of kids I taught over the years both in Boothbay Harbor and at the Center for Teaching and Learning.

I especially want to thank the anonymous group of Boothbay Region Elementary School alums for the gift certificate to the Greenhouse. I'll purchase and plant a flowering shrub this spring in your honor.
