Over the years Geraldine had a number of jobs in the food service industry, at the Hyde Windlass Company and in the medical profession. Among her high points were the time that she spent as a professional baker, and owning and operating the Villa By The Sea at Ocean Point, Boothbay. She was also very involved in saroral and charitable endeavors having served as president of the Boothbay Harbor Congregational Church Guild, co-president of the Boothbay Harbor Couples Club, vice president of the Brunswick Emblem Club Number 323, and crafts leader for 21 years in the Anna Miller Circle of the Stuart/Jensen, Florida Elks Lodge, dedicated to raising money for the local crippled children’s hospital.

She was also predeceased by a grandson, John Yates.

Geraldine is survived by her son, David Eugene Giles of Brunswick, Maine, and daughter, Diane Delano Robertson of Ft. Pierce, Florida, as well as her grandchildren, Julie Yates Breen, Lisa May Hibl, Jessica Giles, Stacey Dougherty, Heather Isherwood and Amanda Coyle.
