Food For Thought donations

Dear Editor:

We at Food For Thought are overwhelmed and grateful for the donations of food that are given every week from several small businesses here in the Boothbay region. Without their generosity, our costs would be much higher, and the children would not receive the quantity and quality of food all year long.

We would like to thank Mr. Paul Coulombe for the recent food donation made to the program from the Boothbay Harbor Country Club. This donation will provide several weekends’ worth of meals for children. It is the perfect gift as all of the items are nutritionally dense and vitamin and mineral rich.

We also thank our seasonal restaurants for their generous donations. They have helped fill the shelves and freezers this autumn. We are in awe as to the kindness and thoughtfulness of this community.

The bags of food delivered to the kids’ homes will not only feed the bodies, but the minds and spirits of each of these children.

It takes a village and we are very grateful.
