Mathias Fine Art invites you to view a mini-exhibition in the Entrance Gallery where large-format photographs by Paul Feyling are on display.  Feyling, who summers on Barters Island, has enchanted audiences with his award-winning documentary filmmaking and equally with his still photography.

On view is a selection of his Maine work, specifically of the Boothbay area.  There are several landmarks including the timeless Trevett lobster pound and general store, and the alluring image of a pier jutting out into the water. Paul’s evocative work captures the beauty of our area and reminds us of its fragility. 

Last fall, Feyling completed an extensive photographic tour of the national parks of the southwestern United States, an exceptionally rich area for landscape photography.  Those photographs will be released in the coming months and we expect to be able to present some of those images in our future exhibitions.
