Dear Editor:

I was very sorry to hear that Paul Coulombe will not proceed with his plans for the east side of Boothbay Harbor. 

Mr. Coulombe has made a considerable investment into this community. For that, we should be grateful. He obviously cares about Boothbay Harbor and wants to see the town flourish. On the other hand, the position of the planning board appears to be the opposite or, perhaps, they just can’t deal with change of any kind. Positive change will vitalize this community. Businesses, property owners, everyone who loves Boothbay Harbor as I do should be in favor of that.
